- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pan over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
- Add onion, peppers, and mushrooms. Cook until vegetables reach desired tenderness.
- Stir in pizza sauce and diced pepperoni.
- Turn off heat and mix in 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Spoon mixture onto buns placed on a baking sheet.
- Top with additional cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
