Banana Split Dessert Pizza

Ingredients
  

  • Crust:
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon butter or margarine softened
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
  • Filling:
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 6 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Toppings:
  • 3 medium bananas sliced
  • 1 8 oz can pineapple slices, drained and cut in half
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Nuts
  • 1 1 oz square semi-sweet chocolate or use a few chocolate sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add flour, oats, and nuts. Mix well.
  4. Press dough into a greased 12-inch circle on a pizza pan, forming a rim.
  5. Prick with a fork and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden. Cool completely.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, lemon juice, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Chill.
  7. Arrange bananas over cooled crust.
  8. Spread filling evenly over bananas.
  9. Top with pineapple, cherries, and nuts.
  10. Melt chocolate and drizzle over the top.
  11. Chill before serving.

Notes

  •  Best served chilled for a firmer texture
  • You can swap nuts based on what you have on hand
  •  A simple dessert that doesn’t need to be perfect to be good
